Sheryll Fitzpatrick (Community Advisor, Thames Coromandel, Hauraki)

Sheryll joined Community Waikato in October 2005. Sheryll has a solid background in community services including working with the North Taranaki Kindergarten Association and the Thames Women’s Resource Centre. Sheryll describes those in the sector as "joy carriers because they work tirelessly to help other people in our communities."

Sheryll works with Sally to arrange training for community groups in the Thames Coromandel and Hauraki districts. She also offers facilitation information and advice on a range of community activities including strategic planning, running meetings, governance and management and starting new organisations. Sheryll works closely with several local  networks and civil defence agencies.

She holds diplomas in business and management and is continuing her studies in the post graduate diploma of NFP management with Unitec.

Sheryll was born in Taranaki but has lived in the Coromandel for over 20 years now along with her family and considers herself a “local.”
