Mental Health Scholarships

Community Waikato administers a  grant from a community mental health training fund.

This small fund is available to support training undertaken by paid or voluntary workers in the mental health sector who work for not-for-profit community organisations. Applications to the fund are accepted between  February and June of each year.
The training involved should satisfy the following criteria.
It should:

• benefit clients
• enable recipients to train others
• support the particular needs of minority groups
• assist recipients on low or no income.

Applications can be made in writing to Community Waikato. They should include detailed information on the proposed project and how it meets the criteria outlined. Please also include the name and contact details of one referee.
