SSW administers a small grant from a community mental health training fund.The round opens in mid September of each year and closes mid November
This fund is available to support training undertaken by paid or voluntary workers in the mental health sector who work for not-for-profit community organisations. The training involved should satisfy the following criteria.
It should:
- benefit clients
- enable recipients to train others
- support the particular needs of minority groups
- assist recipients on low or no income.
Applications can be made in writing to Social Services Waikato. They should include detailed information on the proposed project and how it meets the criteria outlined. Please also include the name and contact details of one referee. The application should be addressed and forwarded to Mental Health Training Fund Applications, Social Services Waikato, PO Box 391, Hamilton
