Other services• FacilitationIf you need someone to facilitate a meeting, workshop or planning session you can ask one of our Advisors to do it or they can refer you to an experienced facilitator. • Training Our Advisors generally work one to one with organisations but if we see a need for a number of organisations to have particular training we will organise a group training session, and either run it ourselves or get in a trainer with the appropriate expertise. • Advocacy Community Waikato staff work with a wide range of organisations around the region and can identify issues that are of general concern. We will keep you informed and collect your thoughts about issues and ensure that funders, government departments and local authorities become aware of them and what they could be doing to improve the environment in which we work and live. • Research We are aware that to provide good services and develop them we need good information. Our research centres on community needs and issues, and the results are posted at our website for anyone to use. • Evaluation The better the feedback, the better informed we are to develop a relevant and effective service. To ensure we’re kept informed and our work is enhanced, we evaluate training courses and the work our Advisors are doing. |
